Notes

'Grand Monarque' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Grand Monarque') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, pale blue flowers open from early to late spring and attract bees. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. This early forcing bulb forms a clump.

Pairs well with Carnaval De Nice tulip, Krossa Regal hosta, and Bowl of Beauty peony.
