Notes

'Grandiflora rosea' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Grandiflora rosea') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Guerin bred it in 1850. It bears full double flowers in deep flesh pink in mid to late spring. The blooms smell pleasant, and the stout stems hold them up well.

Pairs well with Coralbells, Sedge, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Japanese spirea.
