Notes

Gray goldenrod (Solidago nemoralis) is a perennial for pollinator gardens, low maintenance beds, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Clumps of slender, gray-downy stems carry one-sided yellow plumes that arch into a vase shape. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the blooms. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Blue grama, Nodding onion, and White snakeroot.
