Notes

Seaside goldenrod (Solidago sempervirens) is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to wet, sandy or loamy soil. Pinch the growing tips in June for a more compact plant, and butterflies, bees, and birds will visit the yellow flowers. It sits low on the menu for deer. Its evergreen leaves also tolerate salt spray.

Pairs well with Switchgrass, Bitter switchgrass, and Smooth aster.
