Notes
Greater creeping spearwort (Ranunculus flammula) is a perennial for pollinator gardens, low maintenance beds, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and moist to wet soil of most types. Yellow flowers open from early to late summer and again in early autumn, and bees visit the blooms. It sits low on the menu for deer. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and wide.
Pairs well with Swamp milkweed, Culver’s root, and Switchgrass.
