Notes

California buttercup (Ranunculus californicus) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and bears yellow flowers in spring. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, and it also tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Blue-eyed grass, Woolly bluecurls, and Fountain grass.
