'Green Monster' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Green Monster') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant white blooms have green streaks and ruffled, frilled petals, and they open from mid to late spring into early summer. Swenson Gardens bred it.
Pairs well with Orange lily, Royal fern, and Spanish bluebell.
