Notes

'Grimgerde' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Grimgerde') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flower gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows upright to 30 inches tall. The pink semi-double flowers are 6 inches wide and open in mid to late season, with 2 to 3 blooms per stem. Michael Miely bred it and introduced it in 2012.

Pairs well with New England aster, Sedge, Spanish bluebell, and Sensitive fern.
