Notes
'Grüne Knospe' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Grüne Knospe') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double blooms open pale pink late, but the plant is grown for its two weeks of greenish buds. Michael Miely introduced it in 2015.
Pairs well with Siberian iris, Japanese spirea, and Ostrich fern.
