Notes
'Gutrune' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Gutrune') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Michael Miely bred it, and it blooms in late spring. The pink flowers have gold-edged pink staminodes and a Japanese type form. Each upright stem carries four blooms up to 6 inches wide.
Pairs well with Wild bergamot, Japanese spirea, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
