Notes

'Habanera' rose (Rosa 'Habanera') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Its fragrant dark red flowers open from late spring into early autumn and attract bees. The bushy plant has dark green leaves and stays about 24 inches tall. Dr. Griffith J. Buck bred it.

Pairs well with Niobe clematis, Green Velvet buxus, Purple Coneflower coneflower, and Greig's tulip.
