Notes

'Hakurakuten' camellia (Camellia japonica 'Hakurakuten') is a shrub for borders and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun and average to wet soil. It grows slowly in a columnar form, stays evergreen, and blooms in winter and spring. Bees and birds visit the flowers. Deer tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Japanese maple, Wild ginger, and Limelight hydrangea.
