Notes

'Harbinger' peony (Paeonia 'Harbinger') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its single pink flowers are fragrant and open early in spring, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Alonzo B. Franklin bred it.

Pairs well with Curly Fries hosta, Annabelle hydrangea, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Sedge.
