Notes

'Haumea' peony (Paeonia 'Haumea') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Double blush flowers fade to white and last many days, and bees and butterflies visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Nate Bremer bred it, and it stands up without support.

Pairs well with Golden Tiara hosta, Fringed bleeding heart, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Western sword fern.
