Notes
'He Ping' peony (Paeonia 'He Ping') is a shrub for borders, specimen plantings, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Fragrant, light yellow flowers open in early to late spring and have red streaks in the center. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. The Chinese name means peace.
Pairs well with Obedient plant, Korean spice viburnum, Stargazer lily, and The President clematis.
