Notes

'Heart of My Heart' peony (Paeonia 'Heart of My Heart') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Late season double flowers are dark cardinal red and face upward. The plants spread and benefit from support, and the healthy buds last well in a vase. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Golden Tiara hosta, Fringed bleeding heart, Miss Kim lilac, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
