Notes

'Heather' peony (Paeonia 'Heather') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, full double flowers are light apricot with a darker center, and they fade lighter in sun. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Don Hollingsworth bred it.

Pairs well with Hosta, Blue grama, Black Parrot tulip, and Pyrethrum.
