Notes

'Heavenly Red' peony (Paeonia 'Heavenly Red') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant, burgundy red flowers are semi-double to double and measure 6 to 7 inches across. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Roger F. Anderson bred it.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Wide Brim hosta, Blue grama, and Black Hero tulip.
