Notes

Hedgehog lily (Massonia pseudoechinata) is a bulb for containers, houseplant collections, and succulent gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes part sun and dry soil. White flowers with purple anthers sit atop two flat leaves that hug the ground. Leaves and flowers grow in fall, winter, and spring, and the bulbs rest in summer. Plant the bulbs with the top just below the soil surface.

Pairs well with Lemon Coral sedum, Rose of jericho, and Ornamental onion.
