Notes
Hedgehog lily (Massonia bredasdorpensis) is a bulb for containers, houseplant collections, and succulent gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes part sun and dry soil. Two flat, light green leaves hug the ground, and small white flowers are followed by seed pods that look like brain coral. Plant the bulb with its top just below the soil surface.
Pairs well with Voodoo lily, Flowering grass, and Rose of jericho.
