Notes
Hedgehog lily (Massonia echinata) is a bulb for containers, houseplant collections, and succulent gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes part sun and dry soil. Two flat leaves hug the ground, and fragrant white to cream flowers bloom in autumn and winter. The bulb goes dormant in summer, so cut back on watering then but do not let it go bone dry.
Pairs well with Flowering grass, Soap plant, and Jessenia pothos.
