Notes
'Hedgemaster' peony (Paeonia 'Hedgemaster') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Large, flat, white flowers lie on glossy dark green foliage, and bees and butterflies visit the fragrant blooms. Ben Gilbertson bred it, and it stays about 20 inches tall.
Pairs well with Dancing Queen hosta, Queen of Night tulip, Switchgrass, and Phantom panicle hydrangea.
