Notes

'Helene Martin' peony (Paeonia 'Helene Martin') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Soft cream single blossoms with pink undertones open in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The finely cut leaves and stems are tinted red, and the foliage goes dormant earlier than many woody cultivars.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Snowbrush.
