Notes

'Primrose Heron' lamb’s ear (Stachys byzantina 'Primrose Heron') is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows in a clump and is evergreen, fragrant, and drought tolerant. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Purplish pink flowers open in late spring and again in early to late summer, and butterflies and bees visit them.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Purple Coneflower coneflower, and Raspberry Sundae peony.
