Notes
'Herbert Juhr' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Herbert Juhr') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, light pink flowers have white petal bases and bright red flares. Blooms reach eight inches across and open in early mid-season. Harald Juhr bred it and named it for his father.
Pairs well with Francee hosta, Columbine, and Stargazer lily.
