Notes

'Herman' plum (Prunus domestica 'Herman') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. The medium blue-black fruit has yellow flesh and ripens in mid-late July. It is a free-stone plum, so the stone falls away easily, and bees and butterflies visit the spring blooms.

Pairs well with Raspberry, Serviceberry, Black chokeberry, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
