Notes

'Hetepheres' peony (Paeonia 'Hetepheres') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its large yellow flowers are full double and packed with petals, and the stems need support. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Prof. Harald Fawkner bred it.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Earth Angel hosta, and Polish Spirit clematis.
