Notes

'Hi Sho Yo' peony (Paeonia 'Hi Sho Yo') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It bears single, fragrant red flowers that attract butterflies and bees. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Earth Angel hosta, Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Polish Spirit clematis.
