Notes

'Hi Strutter' peony (Paeonia 'Hi Strutter') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Sturdy, upright stems carry fragrant red cup-shaped blooms that attract butterflies and bees. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Earth Angel hosta, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Western sword fern.
