Notes

'Hidcote Giant' lavandin (Lavandula intermedia 'Hidcote Giant') is a perennial for borders, hedges, containers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It is a larger version of Hidcote with tall flower stems. Dark violet-blue blooms open from early to late summer and attract bees and butterflies.

Pairs well with Star of persia, Heavy Metal switchgrass, and Elfin mother of thyme.
