Notes

'Provence' lavandin (Lavandula intermedia 'Provence') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Purple flowers open from early to late summer and draw bees and butterflies. This tall lavandin is grown for lavender oil. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Silver sage, Black Baccara rose, and Feather reed grass.
