Notes

'Seal' lavandin (Lavandula intermedia 'Seal') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, hedges, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Violet-blue flowers appear from early to late summer and attract butterflies and bees. Its grey-green leaves stay on the plant through winter.

Pairs well with Clary sage, Feather reed grass, Ornamental onion, and Black Baccara rose.
