Notes

'Grosso' lavandin (Lavandula intermedia 'Grosso') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Purple flowers open from early to late summer and draw butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The grey-green foliage is fragrant and stays on the plant all year.

Pairs well with Silver sage, Feather reed grass, Black Baccara rose, and Blue grama.
