Notes

'Hong Fan' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Hong Fan') is a shrub for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, semi-double flowers open in late spring. They are deep pink inside and fade to light pink at the petal edges. Each bloom is about 8 inches across and faces upward.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Jacob’s ladder, and Stargazer lily.
