Notes

'Hot Tamale' peony (Paeonia 'Hot Tamale') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Its fragrant, coral-red flowers open in an upright clump and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Donald Robert Smith bred it.

Pairs well with Krossa Regal hosta, Sedge, Picture tulip, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
