Notes

'Hua Cai Ni Hong' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Hua Cai Ni Hong') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows upright to about 39 inches tall. Fragrant, semi-double pink flowers open in late spring and sit in a well displayed position. The broadly cut leaves look purplish when young and turn green as they mature.

Pairs well with New England aster, Pink Impression tulip, Ostrich fern, and Winterberry.
