Notes
'Hua Fei Xin Zhuang' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Hua Fei Xin Zhuang') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, semi-double flowers open pale purple in mid to late spring and fade lighter as they age. The upright, compact plant grows to about 35 inches and shows off its blooms well.
Pairs well with Siberian iris, Ostrich fern, Pink Impression tulip, and New England aster.
