Notes

'Hui-Die' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Hui-Die') is a shrub for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flat peach blooms are semi-double and lotus shaped, with wavy petal edges and reddish fringes. The upright plant has pale green leaves with some fragrance. Its stems are strong enough to hold the flowers above the leaves in wind.

Pairs well with Minuteman hosta, Blue fescue, and Queen of Night tulip.
