Notes

'Hunding' peony (Paeonia 'Hunding') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows upright to 39 inches tall and bears single, dark purplish red flowers that attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Michael Miely introduced it in 2017.

Pairs well with White Feather hosta, Little bluestem, and Carlton daffodil.
