Notes

'Husker Scarlet' peony (Paeonia 'Husker Scarlet') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant, scarlet, semi-double flowers measure 5 inches or more and attract bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Chris Laning bred it.

Pairs well with White Feather hosta, Carlton daffodil, Fragrant sumac, and Tall fescue.
