Notes

'Hyperion' peony (Paeonia 'Hyperion') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Fragrant carmine-pink flowers with golden-yellow centers open in early to late spring, and butterflies visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Kelway bred it.

Pairs well with Grape hyacinth, Ironweed, and The President clematis.
