Notes

'Ice Age' peony (Paeonia 'Ice Age') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen plantings, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Fragrant, semi-double blooms open cream with pink shading and purple flares, then age to white in spring. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Butterflies visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Monkshood, The President clematis, and Jane magnolia.
