Notes

'Ice Castle' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ice Castle') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Anne Oveson bred it. The white anemone flowers measure about 4 inches across and show pale pink stigmas on pale green carpels. They do not have a fragrance and bloom in mid spring.

Pairs well with Perennial candytuft, Prairie dropseed, and Black Hero tulip.
