Notes

'Impossible Dream' peony (Paeonia 'Impossible Dream') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The deep lavender-pink flowers have a mild fragrance and fade to silvery pink as they age. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Strong stems hold the blooms well above the foliage.

Pairs well with Praying Hands hosta, Bobo hydrangea, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Garlic chives.
