Notes

'Impumon' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Impumon') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It has a compact, upright habit. Its scarlet to carmine-red flowers open in early summer. The Chugai Nursery introduced it in 1932.

Pairs well with Coralbells, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Cinnamon fern.
