Notes

'Indian Hill' peony (Paeonia 'Indian Hill') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Fragrant, black red flowers have a bomb shape and open on stiff, upright stems. Lyman D. Glasscock bred it.

Pairs well with Patriot hosta, Blanket flower, Little bluestem, and Nodding onion.
