Notes
'Ines' clematis (Clematis 'Ines') is a vine for containers, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. The lightly ruffled lavender flowers have cherry-red bars and a crown of purple stamens. It blooms again from late spring to late summer.
Pairs well with David garden phlox, Paris coral bells, Susan magnolia, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
