Notes

'Ingot' peony (Paeonia 'Ingot') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears huge, open red blooms that are fragrant and attract bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Big Daddy hosta, Nodding onion, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
