Notes

'Innocence' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Innocence') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The light pink petals surround a yellow center that fades to cream in early summer. Strong stems hold the tall, upright plants well. George Hollis bred it in 1904.

Pairs well with Maltese cross, Japanese spirea, and Queen of Night tulip.
