Notes
'Inspecteur Lavergne' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Inspecteur Lavergne') is a perennial with globular crimson flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). The blooms open in early to mid spring. The plant grows about 31 to 39 inches tall, so it works well in the middle of a bed. Tall stems may need a support ring when the blooms open. Edouard Doriat bred it.
Pairs well with Bee balm, Snake's head, and Snowdrop.
